BBC ALBA to show Scottish Cup finals this weekend
Silver Saturday returns to Murrayfield with live coverage of the men’s and women’s Scottish Cup finals
Silver Saturday returns this weekend with four of Scottish Rugby’s domestic finals broadcast live throughout the day from Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
BBC ALBA will broadcast two of the showpiece finals live for the first time, with Currie Chieftains taking on Ayr RFC at 3:30pm in the men’s Scottish Cup final. Later on at 6:15pm Watsonian FC will go up against Hillhead Jordanhill RFC in the Sarah Beaney Cup final. Both fixtures will be shown live on BBC ALBA, BBC iPlayer and worldwide on the BBC ALBA YouTube channel.
As well as the two live matches on BBC ALBA, Play Vision Sports Broadcasting will be producing the two other finals being played on the main pitch at Murrayfield. The action gets underway at 10am with the Women’s Shield final between Hillhead Jordanhill (2XV) and Broughton RFC.
The second live match of the day is the Men’s National League Cup final between GHK RFC and Highland RFC at 12.45pm. Both of these games will be available to watch on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel, with commentary from Stuart McFarlane.
