After some last-minute announcements this week, all broadcasters for the upcoming summer tours have now been confirmed.
Ireland in Georgia & Portugal
Virgin Media and RugbyPass TV have secured the rights to Ireland’s summer tour:
Georgia v Ireland – Saturday 5 July, kick-off at 6:00pm IST / BST, live on Virgin Media in the Republic of Ireland. Viewers outside the Republic can watch the game on RugbyPass TV.
Portugal v Ireland – Saturday 12 July, kick-off at 6:30pm IST / BST, live on Virgin Media in the Republic of Ireland. Viewers outside the Republic can watch the game on RugbyPass TV.
England in Argentina & USA
As part of a broadcast agreement with SANZAAR, Sky holds the rights to England’s test matches against Argentina, while RugbyPass TV will broadcast USA v England.
Argentina v England – Saturday 5 July, kick-off at 8:40pm IST / BST, live on Sky Sports Action and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
Argentina v England – Saturday 12 July, kick-off at 8:40pm IST / BST, also live on Sky Sports Action and NOW.
USA v England – Saturday 19 July, kick-off at 10:00pm IST / BST. As this fixture isn’t included in Sky’s broadcast agreement with SANZAAR, the test match will be shown on RugbyPass TV, similar to last year’s Japan fixture.
Scotland in New Zealand, Fiji & Samoa
Scotland’s summer tour fixtures will be shared between Sky Sports, Premier Sports, and BBC Scotland.
Māori All Blacks v Scotland – Saturday 5 July, kick-off at 4:35am IST / BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event, Action and NOW in the UK and Ireland.
Fiji v Scotland – Saturday 12 July, kick-off at 4:00am IST / BST, live on Premier Sports in the UK and on Premier Sports & NOW in Ireland.
Samoa v Scotland – Friday 18 July, kick-off at 9:05am IST / BST, broadcast on BBC Scotland (online only) and iPlayer. The match will also be shown on Premier Sports in the UK and Ireland. Irish viewers can also watch the game on NOW.
Wales in Japan
BBC Wales and S4C have picked up the rights and will split the coverage.
Japan v Wales – Saturday 5 July, kick-off at 6:00am IST / BST, live on BBC One Wales and BBC iPlayer. No Irish broadcaster has picked up the rights.
Japan v Wales – Saturday 12 July, kick-off at 6:50am IST / BST, live on S4C and BBC iPlayer in the UK. No confirmed broadcaster in Ireland.
